Private Tour of UM's Baird Carillon in Burton Tower

Through the generosity of University Carilloneur Kipp Cortez, auction guests will have the opportunity in our Live Auction to bid on the chance to have a guided tour of the noted Baird Carillon in the Burton Tower on the central campus of the University of Michigan.  The Baird Carillon, third heaviest in the world, was completely restored in 2011.  It consists of 53 bells ranging from 15 pounds to 12 tons!  The winning  bidder and guests will learn about this amazing musical instrument, have a demonstration by Mr. Cortez, and even have a chance to play it themselves.  The observation deck affords an unparalleled view of the Ann Arbor area.
